In 2021, MHD's lawyers, Elise Arfi and Antoine Vey, announced the decision to refer the artist to court in the columns of Le Parisien: “The investigating judge in charge of the investigation (…) has in fact signed This Wednesday an indictment order sends him back to the assizes of eight men including MHD, in accordance with the requisitions of the Paris prosecutor's office. It is this Monday, September 4 that the trial of the rapper and his seven alleged accomplices opens and will last until September 22, the date on which MHD could be sentenced to 30 years in prison.
