Lagos State Police Commander Benjamin Hundeyinn has confirmed the death of Ifeanyi, son of Afro-pop star David Adeleke, better known as Davido.
Hundeyinn noted that the police had invited the house staff (eight in number) for questioning after Ifeanyi's death.
The police spokesman said anyone found guilty of the child's death after a full investigation would be arrested.
“It's true, the child is dead. About eight people have been brought in for questioning and we are investigating the case. Anyone found guilty of the child's death would be arrested,” Hundeyin said.
He added: “All we know so far is that he drowned. I don't have any other information than that. We go through the CCTV cameras to get more information about the events of his death.
Multiple reports on Monday alleged that Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at Davido's home in Banana Island, Lagos State.
