Kylian Mbappé: a 630 million euro contract with PSG

If the revelations around Kylian Mbappé's mind-blowing contract have been causing a stir since yesterday, the PSG player is also allowing the state to collect a lot of money.

To convince Kylian Mbappé to extend to Paris last May, PSG stopped at nothing. Offering his star the biggest contract ever signed by a sportsman in the world.

Kylian will therefore receive 630 million euros in the next three years if he completes his contract. In detail, the annual salary of the 2018 world champion amounts to 72 million euros. To this fixed amount is added a signing bonus of 180 million euros which will be paid in three instalments. Finally, there is also an evolving loyalty bonus, paid at the end of each summer transfer window: €70m, then €80m, and finally €90m if he lifts the year as an option. If these figures are true, Kylian Mbappé would become the highest paid athlete on the planet.

In the history of the sport, no one boxed in the category of Mbappé. The four-year contract signed by Lionel Messi in 2017 cost FC Barcelona 555 million euros, or, for the year (138,75 M€), 73,25 million euros less. On the podium, we find one of the stars of American football, Patrick Mahomes, whose ten-year commitment in 2010 with the Kansas City Chiefs cost 510 million euros.
