Kanye West creates controversy with a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt

The rapper and creator organized a surprise parade this Monday in Paris.

After participating in the Balenciaga show in the mud, Kim Kardashian's ex has created controversy for the umpteenth time. The reason: a t-shirt worn during his Yeezy show at Paris Fashion Week. We can see inscribed on the back "White Lives Matter", a slogan associated with the far right used as a response by white supremacists to the Black Lives Matter movement launched in 2015.

The Anti-Defamation League classifies the phrase White Lives Matter, which reframes the phrase Black Lives Matter used to protest brutality, as a statement of hate.

In one of the behind-the-scenes photos, you can also see artist Kanye West alongside Candace Owens, a far-right political columnist and close to Donald Trump, who also sported the same “White” t-shirt. Lives Matters”.
