Wizkid: Album “Made In Lagos” Receives Gold Certification In The United States

On Monday August 29, 2022, the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) announced the Gold certification of the album “Made In Lagos” by Wizkid after it sold over 500 copies in the United States.

This giant leap earned Wizkid the singular honor of being the only Nigerian and African artist to have sold his album over 500 copies in the United States.

Nigerian fans are hoping that other albums can follow in the same footsteps and achieve international success as Afrobeats music continues to soar internationally.
