Jada Pinkett is hoping for a reconciliation between Chris Rock and her husband.

Pinkett Smith addressed her husband Will Smith's slap in the face at the Oscars on the most recent episode of her Facebook Watch talk show, while introducing a special segment on alopecia.

At the start of the show Red Table Talk of this Wednesday, Jada, 50, told the camera:

“About Oscar night. My deepest hope is that these two smart and capable men will have the opportunity to heal, to talk about it and to reconcile […] With the state of the world today, we need them both, and we all need each other more than ever.”

"In the meantime, Will and I are continuing to do what we've been doing for the past 28 years — and that's [to] continue to figure out this thing called living together. Thanks for listening", concluded Jada.

Despite the first reference to the Oscars, the rest of the episode barely mentions the awards show, instead focusing on an interview with Niki Ball, a woman whose 12-year-old daughter, Rio Allred , died by suicide on March 14, 2022, after being bullied about her alopecia. Ball recalled how kids at school called Rio "a naked mole rat," "a bug-eyed alien," and "Mr. and Mrs. Clean.

Clearly, this episode set the stage for why alopecia is not something to be laughed at. Will an interview with Will Smith follow? Only time will tell.
