Manchester City's Benjamin Mendy has been charged with two more counts of rape, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.
Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has been charged with two more counts of rape. Mendy, was subpoenaed to appear in Stockport Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The footballer, who remains in detention, now faces six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
The charges relate to four plaintiffs over the age of 16 and allegedly took place between October 2020 and August 2021.
The France international has played for last season's Premier League champions Manchester City since 2017 when he joined Monaco for £ 52million.
He was suspended by the club after being charged by police.
