Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34, were arrested Thursday by the Georgia State Bureau of Investigation.
Both have been charged with murder and aggravated assault, investigators said in a statement.

Those close to Arbery celebrated the news, but also expressed frustration at the long wait.
"It should have happened the day it happened," said Akeem Baker, one of Arbery's close friends in Brunswick. “There is no way without the video that this would have happened. I'm just glad the light is shining very brightly on this situation. "
Gregory McMichael, 64, previously told police he and his son sued Arbery on suspicion of being a burglar. Arbery's mother, Wanda Cooper Jones, said she believed her son, a former football player, was just jogging in the Satilla Shores neighborhood before being killed on a Sunday afternoon.
