Rapper Nipsey Hussle dies in Los Angeles shooting

Nipsey Hussle died after being shot outside his "Marathon Clothing" store in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon (March 31), according to the Los Angeles Times  et NBC  and later confirmed by the mayor of the city. Two other individuals were also shot dead before the suspect fled.

“Having powerful enemias is a blessing,” a disturbing tweet from the rapper hours before his death.

At a press conference, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said it is looking for a black man in his twenties and the shooting appears to be a homicide.

His death sparked a wave of tribute on social networks.

His first studio album, Victory Lap, had him last February was nominated for the Grammy Award for best rap album. The award was ultimately given to rapper Cardi B.
